If you are like me and love to up-cycle old items into new and useful, can’t-live-without, Pinterest worthy projects, then you love eclectic antique stores. When I first moved to the area I searched for a store that would boast a variety of vintage and rugged items. Imagine my excitement when I finally discovered one! The merchandise in the store range from old to new, quirky to practical, rustic to elegant with surprising attention to detail. I make a point to go to Two Doors Down whenever I have an event I’m planning or a party I’m hosting. My kids and I recently visited the store in search of some old enamel cups for holding herbs. I was pleasantly surprised, as I always am, to find enough new items in the store that I ended up wandering around for the better part of 40 minutes.
During my extended wanderings I came across several new local products. A shelf full of beautiful smelling lavender lotions, soaps, and creams were the first new line that I discovered. They came from a local lavender farm I didn’t yet know existed. Lavender happens to be one of my favorite smells and I was thrilled to discover these products right in a favorite store. Also new to the store is a collection of handmade pottery and some unique and fun jewelry that is hand thrown by a local artist (here).
We ended up finding our old, enamel cup and a few other treasures.
